Introducing a new podcast season: help for nonprofits to hone their fundraising pitch

Funders may never tell you this.

But there are seven key elements they want to see in a pitch before they’ll consider donating.

I am offering my podcast listeners an edited version of my popular live training to help my nonprofit friends better understand the seven key elements to include in a fundraising pitch, which are:

(1) Define success clearly to your funder,

(2) Explain the problem you want to solve in the world,

(3) Describe your unique role and value proposition you want to solve,

(4) Demonstrate how you leverage dollars to ensure your funder’s donation will make a difference,

(5) Prove that your work can scale to make a difference at the statewide, regional or national level,

(6) Describe your collaborators well so that you don’t leave money on the table, and

(7) Demonstrate an effective and convincing budget.

If you are a nonprofit leader this podcast season is for you. It intends to help you fundraise to more effectively achieve your mission.

If you are a funder or a donor, please share this free training series with your favorite nonprofit to help them succeed in their mission that you care so deeply about.

New episodes that include this special fundraising training are offered every Monday, starting on August 5th, and the season is concluding on September 23rd, 2024. Listen and subscribe through any podcast channel by typing in “Do Your Good.”
